How to play

The bar-room dice classic: roll two dice, up to three times a round, and don’t finish last. The starter sets how many rolls everyone gets.

  1. Everyone starts with five lives. Each round every player rolls two dice in the open, one player at a time.
  2. The round’s starter rolls first and may roll up to three times, stopping whenever they like. The number of rolls they used is the limit for everyone else.
  3. Your last roll is your score. The higher die comes first: 31 is the lowest, then 32, 41 … 65, then the pairs 11 to 66. A 2 and a 1 is Mex, the highest roll of all.
  4. The lowest score loses a life. If anyone rolled a Mex, the loser loses two. Ties for lowest all lose.
  5. The loser starts the next round. The last player with lives left wins.
